Model construction by Bahr GmbH & Co. KG and our 100-year company history
The department with the most tradition at Bahr GmbH & Co. KG is our model making department. This has accompanied us in a certain way since the beginning of our 100-year company history. Thanks to this many years of experience, we can access extensive expertise in foundry model making. Building models based on old drawings (beginning of the 20th century) or restoring the corresponding models is also no problem for us. For example, we have already been able to repair a model facility from 1913 based on the original drawing. This type of model building requires a lot of manual work and sensitivity.
Even though we are proud of our craftsmanship, modern model building based on CAD data is also of great importance to us. Through our adjacent mold and gauge making department, we can access a state-of-the-art machine park with the latest technologies as well as the know-how of our employees in the associated areas. Through this combination and the lively exchange with the foundries and the processors, we can develop the optimal model for you, which corresponds to your wishes in every way.
All of our models naturally comply with the relevant standard DIN ISO 12890. Depending on how many castings are planned, we will offer you the corresponding quality class (H1-H3; K1-K3; M2). If you are unsure about this, we will be happy to advise you.
